Case study

ITP Aero

A hybrid All Hands production connecting 125 employees on the plant floor with 1,500+ joining remotely from four countries — run under full aeronautical safety compliance.

Introduction

This production was delivered as Castelein AV — the same team that now operates internationally as First Impact.

ITP Aero manufactures propulsion systems for commercial and military aircraft. Their Querétaro plant operates under aeronautical-grade industrial safety protocols — not the kind of environment you walk a production crew into without pre-approving every cable run and rigging position.

The event was the company's annual "All Hands": eight members of the executive leadership team on stage, addressing more than 1,500 employees simultaneously across four countries — Spain, Mexico, the United Kingdom, and India — connected through a single Microsoft Teams session, while 125 colleagues attended in the room.

The production had to deliver broadcast-grade signal to the room and a clean feed to Teams, mic all eight speakers without incident, and execute every transition under safety conditions that assumed the worst if anything went wrong on the plant floor. Turnkey: one team, one brief.

Objective

First Impact was hired to deliver five non-negotiable outcomes: a unified hybrid experience with no perceptible gap between the 125 people in the room and the 1,500+ watching remotely; Microsoft Teams integrated as a native, cut-ready production source; uninterrupted continuity across all eight executive presentations; full compliance with ITP Aero's safety standards from load-in to strike; and a single team accountable for AV, staging, streaming and furnishings.

Six factors made this different from a standard corporate event: aeronautical-grade safety protocols governing every phase, 1,500+ remote participants across four countries on one Teams session, zero tolerance for interruption during any of the eight leadership presentations, Teams feeds that had to behave as a native production source rather than a passive viewer, no on-site carpentry permitted on the plant floor, and a high volume of branded content and live camera feeds running through the same signal chain without collision.

Scope

What had to hold

Unified Hybrid

One program feed to 125 in-person attendees and 1,500+ remote — identical experience, no perceptible gap between the two audiences.

Teams as Native Source

Microsoft Teams integrated as a routable production input — remote participants visible on the main LED wall and cut-ready in the program mix.

8-Speaker Continuity

All eight executive presentations without audio or video interruption. Primary and backup systems at every critical handoff point.

Safety Compliance

Load-in, operation, and strike executed under ITP Aero's aeronautical safety standards. Every step pre-approved before it happened.

Turnkey Delivery

One team responsible for AV, staging, streaming, and furnishings. No coordination gaps between suppliers on the day.

Solution Implemented

How it was produced

Barco S3 Signal Hub

All sources — presentations, cameras, Teams feed, Resolume content — routed through a Barco S3 + EC-30. Independent control of every output without cross-contamination.

Resolume Arena Layer

Four independent video outputs: corporate branding, countdown timers, lower thirds, and video playback. Graphic elements updated in real time without touching camera or Teams feeds.

Microsoft Teams Architecture

Dedicated signal path from the event master into Teams. Separate return path for remote participants into the production switcher — visible on screen, mixed into the program, cut-ready.

Robotic Camera System

Three Avipas AV-1280G PTZ cameras operated via Roland V-60HD. Full stage coverage without floor operators in restricted zones inside the aerospace facility.

Dual Laptop Redundancy

Two Apple MacBook Pro units in the presentation chain. Speaker transitions ran through a tested switchover path — no dead air if one machine failed mid-presentation.

Modular Stage Build

7.50 × 2.50 m modular platform deployed without on-site assembly or power tools. Compliant with ITP Aero's facility safety requirements before the first speaker walked on stage.

Results

What it delivered

1,500+ Connected

More than 1,500 employees joined simultaneously from Spain, Mexico, the United Kingdom, and India through a single Microsoft Teams session.

125 in the Room

In-person attendees at the Querétaro facility received production-grade delivery on a 7×3 m LED wall and four 75" support screens.

8 Presentations, Clean

All eight executive leadership presentations executed without audio or video interruption. Every transition clean.

4 Countries, One Feed

Remote participants from four countries routed into the live production and visible on the main LED wall — not isolated in a side channel.

Zero Safety Incidents

Full load-in, operation, and strike completed within ITP Aero's aeronautical safety protocols. No facility compliance issues.

Turnkey Delivered

Single-team responsibility across AV, staging, streaming, and furnishings. No supplier coordination gaps on the day.

Value Added

Beyond the brief

Single Point of Responsibility

One team for AV, staging, streaming, and furniture. ITP Aero briefed us once. Execution was ours end to end.

Industrial Compliance

Aeronautical safety protocols were built into the production plan before load-in — not retrofitted on site. The facility approved every step in advance.

Continuity by Design

Backup systems at every critical point: presentation laptops, audio, signal routing. Failure modes were planned, not reacted to on the day.

Teams as a Native Source

Remote participants routed into the production switcher and cut-ready in the program. Not patched in as an afterthought — part of the live mix from the start.

Real-Time Signal Flexibility

Barco S3 + Resolume Arena let the production team adapt routing and content in real time without interrupting the live feed or the Teams session.

Modular Staging Compliance

Modular platform eliminated on-site carpentry. Cleaner load-in, lower risk, and fully compatible with the plant's hazard control requirements from day one.
